I was reading some article in this Self magazine while Chap was getting his hair cut and it was about relationships/intimacy in relationships. It said that when you first start dating someone, there's a certain obsessive hormone released into your blood stream that is also present in people with OCD. So you basically obsess over this person that you are with, I think it's initials were PEA? It also said something about how that affects dopamine levels or something, which makes you happy/loving. And it affects your hypothalomous (sp?) that controls basic things like eating and sleeping and then other things like libido. But it said that after the PEA/obsession starts to wear off, the body goes through a phase of thinking too logicially and picks up on tiny bothersome things (ie. boys not putting the toilet seat down, not taking out the trash, being late, etc etc) Apparently being affectinoate/touchy-feely helps counteract the logical "wtf am I doing with this person?" feelings and keeps the couple going strong.
