I would definitely call the place in Grand Rapids, because they may know of how to to approach the subject in a new way. What's hard is that your mom, being an adult, is probably the only person who can check herself into the place unless she's found to be a danger to herself or others. My aunt has bipolar, is not medicated and doesn't talk to the family anymore, so I really hope that your mom can see that you're trying to help her.
