#3 - when people get all snobby over the "cast recording" vs. "soundtrack" thing, I just roll my eyes. Is it really such a big deal? People still knew what he was talking about. Yeah, I try to use cast recording all the time, but I don't care if people use soundtrack. It gets the point across all the same.

Agreed. The only reason people blur the line between the two in the first place is that cast recordings are dumped in the "Soundtracks" section of CD stores (those that remain, anyway).
