"The horrible creature who predicts my future!"

The title has nothing to do with this post, I'm just mildly baked and have Men in Tights on in the background...
ANYWAY.

I've been working on laying out the characters for my comic to try and get a solid design going - this is what I've got so far:

These are so beautiful! I love the Sea Ghost, he looks like how I feel at work.

I don't have first hand advice on what to do with comics, but I have a bunch of people on friendlist who have practice, if you would like I can ask them when any of them are online for tips.

If you could, I would love it... or if you recommend some livejournals to quietly watch and admire!

This is perfect! I'm so afraid of starting things wrong and having to re-work them for print. Super, super helpful! Thanks!

You've asked the right girl!

How often you update should be proportional to how many pages you can make a week.

When I started my webcomic, I had the 10 page prologue done a few months before releasing it and posted them all in the span of 2 days. However, I only had about a page and a half of the first chapter done. It turns out I was struggling to to keep up with the 2 page a week quota I had and and lost my buffer like that.

So think carefully about what pages you post when, it's alright to wait as long as you need to get things done to the point you feel you're ready. I admit I set my deadline a little too early, but I was so eager to get my ideas out I really should have prepared more.

I hadn't thought about posting things online like that... What are your thoughts on having a comic online and then publishing it?
