We had to put my dog down today. Thyroid tumor wrapped around his neck and he couldn't breathe. This is the last healthy picture I have of my good buddy from August.

I'm so so sorry, Justine. It's such a difficult thing to have to go through. You know i'm not religious, but this quote really means a lot to me:
"I have often wondered why god gave dogs such a short life span, and I have come to the conclusion that it is out of pure kindness to mankind. In knowing that man suffers so greatly after the loss of a friend after only a few years, how unbearable would it be for him to lose such a close friend if he were to know him a lifetime." -Sir Laurence Olivier.
