Holy shit. I didn't even know a ukelele (sp?) could do that.

Pretty much how I felt. I've got a British friend who has me hooked on BBC2 (yes, it's true, I've become addicted to Terry Wogan, and am officially a WOG), and I heard this today. I didn't know until the announcer said it that this was being played on a ukelele. My jaw hit the floor too, so I went to youtube to see if I could find it - I thought some of my friends here would appreciate it.

Is that a ukelele? I thought it was a small guitar such as my children had. It has too many strings to be a ukelele; I think they only have four. It looks like a mini guitar such as they make for children to learn on. But then, maybe they have changed ukeleles since last time I saw one up close!

Look closer - it's a ukelele and it only had four strings. He's apparently got a couple of CDs out too.

Ok, ukeleles have grown up. But I am a music fascist, I guess---since he plays so well, WOnder why he doesn't get a 'real' guitar? That trebly sound doesn't do it for me for more than a curiosity.
