Gah, this episode was so good! Your picspam is amazing - they all look so gorgeous <3 Probably one of my favourite things in the entire episode is Maggie's expression in the second cap of her looking at Eli when they first go to the bed - so, so beautiful.

I missed the very beginning of the episode though cos they started it slightly early - is that Eli having a vision with Maggie and Taylor? I'll have to try and catch the repeat on Sunday to try and see it :/

The beginning was him having a vision of people dancing in a vineyard/outdoorsy kinda place. Taylor and Maggie are there, so is Matt. I'll have to watch it again to double check if Nate and the others are also there. The vision is pretty short, and doesn't appear to hold any significance (except the four of them later travel to Sonoma together), because then he wakes up in the hospital to Nate's news of his aneurysms...

thank you so much for the picspam! There is a signficance to the vision if you can believe it. The song that everyone is singing is "Red Red Wine" which is the song that Maggie sang to Eli before they kissed. Also, if you look closely (in the episode), Matt twirls a girl into his arms and I believe that it is the judge. I could be totally mistaken on the last part.

You're totally right about the song! Clearly a single viewing of this episode just isn't going to cut it. ;-) I actually didn't like the whole karaoke bar storyline so perhaps I just blocked out the bit where she started singing. I was kinda focused on the next part. Hee!

Damn it. I had gotten to the point where I was over the fact that ABC canceled this show, because as much as I love the show what else can you do, but watching this episode last night has made me pissed off all over again. I loved it, especially the stuff with Nate and Frank. I really wish the writers had done more with them sooner. I would have loved to have seen that develop more.

And while I'm here, I wanted to ask, does your offer to beta read for me still stand? You said you would, but it was a while ago, so I wanted to check. I have a fic that I'm working on and right now it's in bits and pieces. I think maybe having someone else look at it could help.

Hey Les. I'm happy to beta for you any time. My own muse has abandoned me and I haven't written anything in weeks, so it would be good to get back into Eli fic by betaing.

ITA agree about Nate and Frank. I loved the posting on Spoilerfix that said that Frank would eventually set up his clinic in Nate's new building. They would have been awesome coworkers, and it would have been interesting to explore the east vs west approach to medicine, and their different reactions to Eli's ongoing visions.

But now we'll never know. >:|

Thanks. I'm still working on the fic, but I'll send it to you soon. Unless I chicken out. I'm so nervous about letting anyone else see what I write. I'm not sure how good I am at it.

I know there was more I wanted to say about the episode, but right now I can't remember what it was. I guess I'll just have to rewatch the episode to refresh my memory. Shoot, it's so tough being a fangirl. LOL

Sure. That's about as ridiculous a statment as when I tell people that I'm not an obsessed Eli Stone fan, I'm just dedicated. Yeah right. I told one of my coworkers that the other day. She didn't believe me either. LOL

Okay, after seeing your post this morning I downloaded and watched the episode. So thanks for the wake-up call!

AMAZING PICSPAM. I love all the Matt/Taylor and Eli/Maggie parts, and the sequence leading up to Matt being held in contempt. Beautiful shots. As usual, you captured all my favorite bits and some that I didn't notice :)

And can we talk about how Julie Gonzalo is soooo goooorgeous? I hope we see her again in more stuff soon.

I thought the lighting in this episode in some scenes was just beautiful (the Sonoma ones, obviously, but the Nate scenes as well). And Julie Gonzalo really did look spectacular. I don't even hate her new hair anymore.

Glad you liked the picspam, pwincess!

YAY PICSPAM!

I was seriously worried that no one else had saw the new episode! How absolutely adorable was Matt in this episode? Hee. :)

Oh, and yeah, ICK to the distracting Sci-Fi logo.

Matt is always adorable, IMHO. But he was very smiley in this episode which I loved. (And how he tried avoiding his ex, hee hee!) Sorry, Eli, but Matt is hands down my favourite character on this show.

I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't paint Taylor as the jealous shrew when they met Leah in the street, or use pregnancy hormones as an excuse for her reacting irrationally over Matt's past relationship. It was much truer to a character who hasn't even told him that she loves him yet! (Which, by the way, she better do before the end of the series or I will be seriously annoyed.)

Either that or the happy hormones have kicked in. I like Taylor so much now she's not with Eli.
