I think I have an idea of what you mean. I sometimes get discouraged because I feel like Reformed churches lack a certain joy, especially in worship. I'm not arguing that we ought to dance in the aisles or anything (awkward...) At the same time, other churches that I've visited have members who seem to have a real emotional (rather than just intellectual) connection to God, but they don't seem to have a good theological understanding of the Bible, or even to care much about different doctrines. I want so badly to find the happy medium.

When I was in Wales, I did actually attend a church where people cared about understanding the finer pints of the Bible, but at the same time still had a real joy in their worship of God. I feel like I may have found a church like that in Redeemer as well, which is lovely.

Amen!! I don't think we should have to choose between a church that cares about doctrine and a church that is joyful. I'd love to go to a church that truly cares about both. I've found a great church here at school, which is encouraging. I'm glad you have Redeemer.
