The pain can never truly go away, it stays there, in your heart, and at times like that, it'll come out and you'll be just as miserable as when you lost them. The pain will ease up over time, in some cases, and at others it will be just as hard as it was the first time all over again, even a year or two afterwords...

I hate hearing your having to go through it, but having to endure that pain can be enlighting...
