State of the Me: March was a really tough month for me. I made the mistake of assuming the worst was over when I got through February okay, but the combination of mid-terms and Mardi Gras just sapped my motivation. So I started the month strong but really struggled for the last 3/4-Or, maybe I should say was apathetic, because struggle doesn't quite describe it. It wasn't a trial, I just needed a break and I took it. Interestingly enough, I think I do better when I'm in school. Maybe it's because then I have to be very aware of how I use my time. Anyway, I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things.
You may have noticed that I dropped Wallace. That happened today, the post will go up tomorrow. He is my love, no doubt, but he's too mellow and unmotivated for me, alas.
Apparently this month is about animated gifs, and far be it from me to not get on that bandwagon. I don't want to get into a really long SotP anyway.
shari cooper
So, Peter is gone, and I haven't quite figured out how Shari's going to deal with that yet. She had purposely kept him at arm's length for this very reason, so on the one hand she'll be vindicated in that unhealthy behavior, and on the other she'll be edging a
"Marissa Cooper throws furniture in the pool" level freak out because she's just so damned SICK of this. If there are any cute guys interested in one night stands, she would definitely go there; right now, she's incredibly lonely despite being constantly surrounded by people, and I can completely see her reacting that way if given the opportunity.
sirius black
Sirius is really chilly right now, which is nice. He was one of my strongest this month, what with the sex ed post early on, which was a ton of fun. I'm so glad I decided to do it, and that I have a pup who will do things like that. Right now he's in New York with Neil doing whatever the fuck two skinny gay boys do in a city like that when they can't do each other. Good times.
pepper potts
That gif is so appropriate. SO MUCH RELIEF IN THIS RED HAIRED WOMAN, PEOPLE. Just let it all out, Pep. Peter is having some angst and Niko disappeared, but for the most part life is pretty okay for Ms. Potts. I think she and Tony are officially having sex now, but I haven't confirmed this with Scott because we WIN at communication forever. Because I want Pepper to continue her training, I think I'm going to be handwaving that Cal picks up Niko's job as best he can, and the boutique should open next month, so she's doing things. Being awesome. Riding in go-karts. Gettin' laid. (Not necessarily at the same time.)
caliban leandros
Back to being an emo bastard, SURPRISE SURPRISE. The new book came out this month and I'm not finished with it (I got sidetracked by Puzo), but I would really, REALLY like to give him an amnesia plot once I do. I know amnesia is the HOT NEW THING, but it's right there in canon, and this is the PERFECT time to use that shit. Also, HE WILL GET LAID IF HE DOESN'T REMEMBER WHO HE IS, HOLLA! The line to ride that fine pony starts here.
lux cassidy
We're still working on it, but Lux went to Gotham with Jason and Tim in the first home plot, and it was incredibly fucked up, but she won't have told anyone. Also, Jason is currently finally telling her about his death, so that's fairly traumatic, but hey, she's got a fancy new treehouse now? She definitely needs to thread more with Baze; it seems like whenever Ruth posts him it's just a bad day for me for whatever reason, but I think Lux's trip to Gotham's GRITTY UNDERGROUND has pretty firmly adjusted her worldview, so she'll probably be less of a cow about Kate now.
clark kent
PUPPY PUPPY PUPPY. You guys, seriously. I cannot express how much I love playing this adorable man. His threads were pretty short this month, but that was my general fail and not Clark's fault. Mardi Gras fried my brain and I had to move on, but it was fun to play him as high. Construction on the GAE has kicked into high gear, so he's out getting sweaty and working hard like the dedicated citizen he is. I orignally hadn't planned on EPing him again so soon, but I'm giving him one next month. I love him too much to wait.
tony stonem
Tony got off to a slow start, mostly because when Shane dropped Effy I had to completely adjust how I was approaching him. Next month is Tony's, though; I'm going to try and taper off my gameplay so that I'm mostly clear when the cave rave happens. I love playing him so far, his voice is frighteningly easy. Not going to think about what that says about me. XD
future
Freddie Mclair - Skins - The ironic thing here is that I wasn't sure I even liked Freddie at first. He really got me, though, and with a vengeance; it reminds me a lot of how things went for me with Justin Taylor from Queer as Folk, who is one of my favorite and most beloved characters of all time. I think it's incredibly telling that even when I found out Effy was being dropped, I never reconsidered my decision to app him for so much as a second. Freddie is an angsty little prick, but he's so EARNEST in that way that drew me to Clark. I'll probably push his debut back to late May or early June, depending upon when Kat apps Cook and how long I can wait.
Abernathy Ross - Death Proof - I have been wanting to play this bitch since Grindhouse first came out, and fuck it, I'm finally going to do it. I'm just going to pray that nothing bumps her between now and P4, because she'd be a really welcome addition to my roster. I need more fabulous, strong ladies, and I'm probably not supposed to mention this, but Abernathy is the fictional character I consider most like me. Kind of a nag, mothers everyone, worries about the people she cares about, but is still fun and not afraid to kick a dude in the head for endangering her and hers.
Johnny Storm - Ultimate Fantastic Four - I love this gif. I use it here just in case any of you doubted the perfection of my PB choice. Yes, Johnny is still in the queue and I do still plan/hope to app him by the end of the year. I've just been crap at getting through canon; had a lot of other things distracting me. Now that Sirius has started settling down, though, I think this year would be a really good time to bring Johnny.
