This is your brain on drugs.
Splattered on a frying pan,
The yoke still dripping.

This is your brain on melancholy.
Throbbing in sync with your heart,
Crumbling at the edges.

This is your brain on happiness.
On the verge of weightlessness,
Random blue sparks every few minutes.

This is your brain on love.
Swollen and glowing a pale yellow,
Suddenly too big for your own head.

This is your brain on laughter.
Melting slowly into a puddle of smiles,
Warm and blurry like a mirage on the horizon.

This is your brain on tragedy.
Liquefied from the shock,
Then frozen in the shape of hardship.

This is your brain on rejection.
Heavy and sunken in the skull,
swollen, dehydrated and starting to bruise.

This is your brain on envy.
Sizzling like the pavement in July,
Tense and on the verge of combustion.

this is your brain on loneliness.
disintegrated into a pile a jelly.
slowly turning 13 different shades of blue.

this is your brain.
this is your brain on life.
