The carpet dude came yesterday. He said only the strip of underlayment closest to the wall needed replacing. I disagreed, but he didn't listen and said he'd be back tomorrow to put in new. He also steam cleaned the carpet, which MADE EVERYTHING EVEN WETTER for a while, but the musty smell is much reduced ( Read more... )

The electrician came yesterday. It was the switch, not the wiring, and now the light works except I need a third light bulb. Which didn't stop me from having a nightmare last night/this morning that water started spewing out from behind every switch and outlet and from around the ceiling fan and only stopped when the electrical fire started.
