Character Name: Hina Kagiyama
Series: Touhou Project
Timeline: Post Mountain of Faith
Background:
Character History Personality: Hina is a very kind, sweet girl. In her canon she spends her time scaring unsuspecting humans away from the mountain where the gods reside. This has nothing to do with Hina hating humans! Hina simply wants to scare humans away because she loves them and she knows the mountain is a dangerous place. She actually thinks of herself as a protector of humans. Hina is self sacrificing and puts other's safety before her own, that's just the kind of goddess she is.
She scares a lot of people away just by being a curse goddess. But Hina uses her powers to take people's curses away from them instead of giving out curses. Although because she does this she ends up storing up the curses herself, making her a bit unpleasant to be around. It's almost as if she carries a bad omen around her. Because of this she's not quite as social as she could be, and is a little awkward to be around. She also may not understand some hip lingo and it would be a great source of confusion.
Hina also grows sad sometimes that she can't hang out with the humans she loves so much. Although she understands protecting humans is much more important that making friends with them she still longs for a friend to hang out with. Because of this she is sometimes lonely but Hina tries to keep a positive outlook on life. She really is the kind of girl that tries to take lemons and make lemonade. Despite her polite manner of speaking in and her matured body Hina is really a innocent and pure hearted little girl on the inside.
Sample Post: The first thing Hina did once she found herself in this strange new place was to look for a mountain. Of course there was no way for a mountain to be in space, and once Hina saw the deep black pit of space she felt her stomach do a flip. Hina found her hands clasped together tightly in worry, she had always protected people from that mountain. What would happen without her there? She could only begin to think of those poor humans being punished by the gods for climbing that forsaken mountain.
But Hina was also quite worried for herself. Was she in a dangerous place? She had no way to answer this question for herself but to try to explore wherever she was. Hina stepped forward into the darkness only to find a strange clear sheet like object in her way. Under her feet is a metallic gray unlike she's ever seen before. Looking down she instantly began to miss the green grass on the mountain side she had once protected. Even if she was alone there she was alone in a beautiful place... this was not beautiful at all.
Hina decided to wander about a bit more, finding things she had never seen before. Even the beds were interesting to her considering she had never seen bunk beds before. Eventually she came across large chairs that were padded and quite comfortable to sit in... and they spun around in circles. After growing dizzy by spinning about Hina came across a large control panel with tons of buttons lit up in different colors. Hina sat, thinking they were something to be admired, and took her time looking at all of the individual buttons. It's almost as if she was looking at a christmas tree. Hina decided that wherever she was it wasn't nearly as bad as it could be!
