Yeah, I think that was partly my thinking. I figured it was a nicer response than: 'No, I don't find you attractive. Unlucky.'

Which is what I was tempted to put.

i don't like her phrasing. i would have strived for something wittier. "would you like to come to my service station? all the petrol pumps are broken and i really need someone to fill me up..."

did i mention that i have been single for the past six months. i wonder if it has anything to do with those drunken messages....

It wasn't the subtlest of text messages, thats for sure. Yours, however, was a real 'four-star' text message (shut up, that's the best I can do at short notice), and would have guaranteed* sex no matter how ugly said sender was.
