The storms and high winds last week were a bit too much for the fence in the back garden to cope w/:

I approve of the way in which Mr. Bronte is throwing his head coquettishly over his shoulder and giving the camera his best look.

Into next door's garden hehe!

Our fences are both down, Chico's having a whale of a time, in three back gardens.

Glad to hear your housing arrangements are sorting themselves Ceri, good luck, and take care!

Oh well, he might as well make the most of next door's garden while he still can...! :-)

And hah! I bet Chico's loving it, having all that extra stomping ground!

Same goes for you, too, dearie :-)

Heh, he has looks far better than that one! But cats are rarely very cooperative when it comes to posing for the camera, and while exceptional in many ways, Bran ain't in this one...

Are you going to do the thing where you *attempt* to keep Branwell in for the requisite two weeks to settle him to his new home. If you do, and you manage it for longer than 2-3 days I do recommend getting him a collar, lead, and some rope and tie him up so that he can go from garden to house at will (only when supervised obviously!) to adjust to his surroundings. :-)

I'm certainly planning to do my best! I might even try buttering his paws* :-) Good thinking re: the lead idea - I have a lead and harness for him that I used while first introducing him to the great outdoors, so that should come in handy again. I extended it at that time with a length of sturdy washing line tied to a fixing on the exterior wall, and he seemed quite happy exploring the garden here that way, so perhaps we'll have a repeat performance when introducing him to his new patch :-)

*I read about this method of helping to distract cats from the stress of moving house yeeeeears ago when I was a kid, and though very struck by it, I've never had an opportunity to try it out! Apparently the cat in question will be too preoccupied with making sure their mitts are nice and clean again to be as bothered about the change in circumstances as as they might otherwise be... well, that's the theory! It might just result in buttery pawprints all over the cat's new home ;-)

thanks for adding me to yr flickr, i shall have a nosey later today!
those collectable series weird me out, because by the time you get them all you've spent a ridiculous amount of money, far beyond the worth of the actual collection!

not only that - you've also inflicted upon yrself a collection of 36 Porcelain Victorian Dogs!!/Teaspoons Of The World!/Classic WW2 Replica Firearms!! Yikes! Either that, or you forget to buy those couple of crucial issues, and end up with a Stunning Self-Assembly Scale Model Remote Controlled Monster Truck w/ no wheels. Or remote control.

Look at Bran. All grown up, and whoring for the camera!

Grown up? Hah, I bet he'll still kick off with a toddler-scale tantrum when bathtime next comes around!

But yes, I still find myself surprised that he's an Actual Catsized Cat now, and not an itty bitty kitty. Especially after I've been a-visiting a certain young Edna, a minxy wee kitten w/ whom I've recently become acquainted - Branwell feels like a sack of spuds in my arms when I give him a cwtch the evening after an afternoon spent playing w/ crazy daisy featherweight not-so-evil Edna!

That picture looks as though Branwell has knocked over the fence himself and is now looking around in a "it wasn't me" kinda way...or is that just me?

Oh wow you're so right - that 'coquettish glance' is really a guilty conscience!!! The wind had nothing to do w/ the panel coming down = it was Branwell stampeding the fence after a few too many nutritious meaty chunks...
