seasonal affective doom-and-gloom disorder?

Aug 04, 2007 02:10

Oh, God. Let's hope this foot-and-mouth infected farm in Surrey proves to be an isolated incidence of the disease, for all the obvious reasons - animal welfare, farmers' welfare (personal and financial), rural Britain being able to operate as normal without chaos, disruption, being broadly declared a no go area, the collapse of domestic tourism &c ( Read more... )

gloom, time of the season, misery, wrong

You have to hope not :-( With any luck at least all the containment strategies, action plans and whatever worked out in the light of the last outbreak will have some positive effect in keeping stuff under control.

Thank you dear - I'd like to see you again soon, too. I'm just still in so much of a horrible depressive bog, rubbish and unmotivated and endlessly negative and all - on one hand I'd like to get together and maybe do something fun, on the other hand I'm just so low, and I know how 'catching' that can be, and worry that I'd radiate miserableness and get *you* down too, and I'd feel so crappy if we met up and I just wept all over you for hours on end again :-/

Aaaargh!! I suck, I'm sorry xxx

Oh don't worry you did anything but bring me down bloodflowerbill August 4 2007, 20:18:24 UTC
the last time we met. But I understand, if you need space, just remember I'm here if you need me... xxx

Frankly I don't know what I need, apart from some sort of rapid escape route from how things currently are. I already have far more space than is good for me - that's probably the main problem. It is always good to see you, and I'd like it to happen more often xxx

Hellooo there.

I have just about finished decorating the living room, and 36 hours of awfulness it is too. I am tired now.

I am also tired, but that's due to the sheer weight of largely unnecessary shopping I lugged back from Tesco this evening rather than anything so productive as decorating. Your tiredness is vastly more worthy than mine.

I listened to The Day The Music Died on Radio 2 in their 'comedy hour' bit this afternoon, and was most surprised to hear Gindrinker featured in their gig guide. Then I heard the name Danielle Ward near the end, not long after the words 'additional material', and thought, "Ahhh...!"

Hiya, yes, I'm back for the most part! I sort of fell off the edge of the internet for several months after moving house at the beginning of February, but have been back around posting for a little while now. Good to hear from you - I've just added scarletslippers to my friends list now.

Sorry I didn't respond to this earlier - I've been offline for about a week, due to having been away for a few days and the internet/digitelly promptly keeling over on my return, grrr! Still, it's finally fixed now, and it reminded me of the value of books in the meantime ;-)

Yay - that you're sort of back :-) I've thought about you often - particularly when listening to anything on 4AD - I'm very much in love with 'Learn to Sing Like a Star' and am now the proud owner of an MP3 player, having totally got my music mojo back :D
