1. What did you do in 2014 that you'd never done before? Made a baby (okay for the most part), taught private school, moved to Key West.
2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Again, didn't make any, probably won't again.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? My niece had Kacey in April and Tamara had Emma in October. It was quite the year for babies actually, but those are just the ones close to me.
4. Did anyone close to you die? Childhood dog, Daisy.
5. What countries did you visit? Stayed in the country, unless you want me to be all "Conch Republic" here.
6. What would you like to have in 2015 that you lacked in 2014? A completed masters degree (two more classes!)
7. What date from 2014 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? The evening we found out about baby, the day we found out it was a boy. Guess those are really the only major events for this year.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Nothing major, it was just a year I guess. Glad to maintain my 4.0, hope to keep that up next semester.
9. What was your biggest failure? Uhm, can't say I feel like I failed at anything.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Just the worst morning sickness imaginable, nbd.
11. What was the best thing you bought? Crib bedding? Ha. I don't know, I didn't buy a lot this year, didn't really need/want anything.
12. Who's behavior merited celebration? Alex has been incredibly supportive again. Guess I haven't paid much attention to anyone's behavior, haven't had any reason to.
13. Who's behavior made you appalled and depressed? Again, haven't really been paying attention to anyone.
14. Where did most of your money go? Bills... As far as spending money, Christina's wedding got pretty pricey.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? My birthday, Tamara's baby, Christina's wedding.
16. What song will always remind you of 2014? Thinking "We Got Us" is the best for this.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
I. happier or sadder? Happier.
II. thinner or fatter? Pregnant.
III. richer or poorer? The same.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Having my own classroom.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Wish I could have done less morning sickness.
20. How did you spend Christmas? Did Christmas with Alex and his family the weekend before, dinner and presents. Came up to Palm Bay and spent the week with my mom, Christmas Eve Mass. And she paid Shadows annual vet visit, yay adulthood.
22. Did you fall in love in 2014? Not with anyone new.
23. How many one-night stands? 0.
24. What was your favorite TV program? Enjoyed Once Upon a Time and Boardwalk Empire.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Eh, no.
26. What was the best book you read? Is it terrible if I say I really enjoyed the textbook I had this past semester? Not a "wow what a great read!" But a "wow, this is a great resource!"
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? No one new stands out.
28. What did you want and get? Pretty stoked about the video camera we got for Christmas.
30. What was your favorite film of this year? Guess I wasn't much of a movie person this year.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? 25. Went down to Key West with Alex that day/night, that weekend we got rained out so we just had a small shindig at the apartment. Where everyone played Ring of Fire without me.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Less bills!
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2014? Spent a lot of time trying to stay comfy.
34. What kept you sane? Sleep, lots of sleep. Back rubs.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Can't think of anyone.
36. What political issue stirred you the most? Recently I've had an opinion on the whole Michael Brown thing, but I guess everyone has, can't stay it particularly "stirred" me. I voted, glad the half cent passed. Glad gay marriage is becoming more legal across the nation.
37. Who did you miss? My dad. Wish Amanda lived closer, and Millie. Jo and Peg.
38. Who was the best new person you met? Baby Emma? My new coworkers are pretty neat.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2014: Alex is somehow always right? Ha, I don't know.
