It was a part of him. seems repetitive, but also gives a sense of finality to the side comment. Not to mention sometimes repetition is necessary.
Their relationship was a silent one; Mother didn't talk much, either. I love all that one line says about them. I mean, there's so much of a story in just those few words. And it kind of reminds you that words don't mean much versus contact and action. They had this understanding between them, and obviously silent communication and I wouldn't doubt if no one else understood them in quite that way. And then you add this: dangly earrings that she fancied (and that Joe liked to pull on) and you can see how a little boy would do that, and he could only do that to his mother, and idk, maybe it was even his form of compliment to his mom. He likes the earrings, doesn't speak much, but he likes them, and she bothered to put them on.
Joe's scowl at his smile at biting words of sarcasm. I'm probably just stupid, and tired ( ... )

It sounded really repetitive to me too, and I couldn't decide whether to take it out or not, so I just left it because I'm lazy. Haha.
Yeah, little kids pull on their mom's earrings all the time. I think Joe would do it to say that he likes the earrings she's wearing, and maybe it's a type of security, an anchor to hold down his mother to him.
NO YOU'RE RIGHT. Ack. Where is that? For some reason I can't find that line, and I need to fiiiix it >.>
You're the one who's got a problem with it. Punk. LOL. You're right though; Kevin would rather provoke Joe than be ignored. Plus, Joe maybe leaves the cap off just to piss Kevin off and feed his pet peeve. Nick's a bit of a pacifist, and mostly just sees through each of their immaturity.
<333 Thank you.

Yeah... I almost thought that, if that makes any sense. But I guess Kevin was the one who bothered me so I was like, whatever, Joe can do what he damn well pleases. Which, yeah, awww Joey <33 You love your big brother! Haha win, Nick, win.

You have no idea how excited I am about you writing this. Really. And ADAM and KRIS. Oh god. This is like everything I love all in one.

LOL I KNOW. This is such a self-indulgent fic, if you break it down (in my defense, isn't ALL fanfic self-indulgent, though? XD). I mean, I just gotta get cannibalism in here somehow, and it'd be ALL my favourite things in one. (I'm so happy, because now Adam smelling like vanilla (like he does in this fic, haha) is canon! Yay!!) Idk idk. I think I'll just write JB/AI8 crossovers for the rest of my life. This story and this one are crossovers, and then I'm thinking of putting Nick and Joe into THIS ONE (just for kicks, apparently, because Joe works with Adam at the booth and is his best friend? And Kris notices that Joe sureee talks about his little brother a lot, but somehow it's not THAT weird...), and what is my life now? Ughhh<3 I'm sorry, this comment has somehow gotten away on me LOL.
