You see, I know what scares people.

Gore isn't scary, it's either a) disturbing (a la Day of the Dead) or b) funny (a la Dead Alive). Jump scares are cheap, but they're fun, and a world full of monsters isn't scary, because you can avoid them since you know they're there ( Read more... )

But if you know that the infected really only run around at night/thedark can't you just stay indoors too...? :)

That only happens when you're a stupid twit who lights candles in a safe house to attract zombies' attentions to make the movie more intersting ^_^

Okay. You canh avoid Werewolves assuming they canj only exist under a full moon. You can avoid the Infected only if you live in a safehouse with tons of food and water and supplies. Eventually, you will have to leave the house, and enter another. The freaky thing about Infected is that they have no pattern. They prefer shadow, but are not directly harmed by sunlight. if they haven't eaten, and they hear you, they'll find you.

Therefore, although it's possible in theory to keep out of their way, in all practicality, it's not.
