Dimebag Darrel Abbot, former guitarist PanterA and the more recently known band Damage Plan, was repeatedly shot and killed last night, December 8, 2004. I sit here at my computer, writing this post because...

1. Dimebag Darrel was a hero to me, one of the greatest metal guitarists, and one of the best musicians I have ever come across in my 15 years of life.
B. December 8, 2004, to me, should be remembered as a day of imfamy. Because without Dimebag Darrel & PanterA, most bands that you know and love, would not be the bands they are today. Dimebag was a true influence to me, and I know he probably influenced others. My friends band, Fate Of A Friend, was even inspired and influenced by Dimebag. Just like all the other deaths that have been forever remembered (e.g. Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morison, John Lennon, George Harrison, Johnny Cash etc. etc.), I think that Dimebag Darrel TOO should be remembered...remembered dearly by those who knew him well. And those who didnt quite know him at all.
I know PanterA fans will remember him.

I know I will...

So to concluded...

Rest in piece prince of the Washburn (its a guitar, for those of you who didnt know.)
