When I was in Hawaii in '06, on the last island I visited, I had no internet access at all for about 24 hours. Not even on the treo. Not even AOL-- no phone in the cheapy place I was staying.

I honestly couldn't recall the last time that happened, and I was twitchy by the end of it.

If I were you, I'd be camped in a Starbucks or something.

I intentionally spend one week a year without access... But that's such a different environment that you don't even notice it's gone. When you're home, it's murder.

I won't be in class tomorrow either...got my back forcibly put back together yesterday so I'm more than slightly fragile. What did you do to your foot?
