I like Stephen Dunn.

I like Stephen Dunn because of the way that reading him makes me feel about life. It's sad and rich and good.

Bukowski says that only heartbreak brings art, and that he would trade his entire life to not be an artist.

I'll never feel this way.

Life is what it is.

I agree...

but even with all of the millions of ways a person can "make" life. One thing is certain. Heartaches are unavoidable. There are just millions of ways of finding and dealing with them.

i don't think there is a way to not encounter them, unless maybe you locked yourself up in a room and never interacted with a single other person....but of course, that sounds alot like heartbreak to me as I'm writing it.

There have been times that I wished I didn't want to act...but that urge will never go away. But, it wasn't because of heartache. Or maybe it was.

Even so, you are correct. Pain is unavoidable. I think it's silly for one to try and avoid it. I welcome it. Heartache builds character.
