When the Jews return to Zion and a comet fills the sky
When the Holy Roman Empire rises then you and I must die
From the eternal sea he rises creating armies on either shore
Turning man against his brother til man exists no more

I'm watching that right now! The original Omen! This post kinda freaked me out b/c he was reciting the poem right when I saw this. o_O

I hope they never remake the Exorcist, but I'm sure they will. Idiots.

lol. I was just watching it on AMC too. That's what made me think of it. The part where the priest died still freaks me out. And yes, the deaths were amped up and kinda cool in the remake, but nothing beats the creepiness of the priests death. The storm and that freaky music. *shivers*

I guess I'm kind of a hypocrite though. I actually really liked the Texas Chainsaw remake (but I never saw the original until after I saw the remake. And I like the Dark Castle remakes (House on Haunted Hill, 13 Ghosts...House of Wax was....alright) But then other remakes bother me. When I heard they were remaking Halloween I couldn't believe it. I tried to keep an open mind, and I saw it w/ some friends (when it was in theaters) but it was just...GAH ( ... )

You had never heard of The Omen? Seriously? Gregory Peck? Lee Remick? and OMFG Billie Whitelaw (ever seen Hot Fuzz? lol) was TERRIFYING as the nanny (whose name I forget right now). Way scarier than Mia Farrow in the remake.

I'd like to agree with you, that since The Beginning didn't do good they'll leave The Exorcist alone, but I...just can't. The Omen (ok, maybe not the best known horror movie ever) had a bunch of crappy sequels and they still remade it. The same holds for Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Halloween.

lol. I don't know why I'm so stressed over this. It's not like they've announced a remake....have they? Oh god...have they?! *runs to IMDB*
