It had taken Xavier some time to get used to the strange familiarity of his twin's face, his mind. To see him walk the halls or hear him speak familiar words. The longer he stayed, the more he was becoming accustomed to it all. It was almost a relief to reach out and brush against that brighter piece of his past. He closed his eyes, seeking out the ( Read more... )

After a long day of training and chess and God knows what else the children and Erik throw at him, all Charles wanted to do was take a warm shower and relax in bed until Morpheus came upon him. Having his double around certainly grounded the telepath, allowing him to practice more concentration techniques than with Erik or the children. They simply did not understand what he needed and there was no way he could explain something so abstract ( ... )

It was an unusual experience, to stumble upon Charles this way. Xavier had only sought out his presence with a brief touch of their minds, so catching Charles freshly from the shower was a surprise. It was so very different an experience from simply gazing into the mirror. The sheen of water still present on Charles' skin. Small droplets that clung to his hair weighed it down, dripping to roll along his shoulders and down his chest in tiny trails. Xavier found it difficult to look away.

"My apologies." His voice was soft , and despite his surprise the smile remained. He enjoyed the freedom that came with conversing with Charles. They were one and the same, eliminating the need for fronts or falsities. After all, they already knew each others flaws and misgivings.

And perhaps Charles had always been a bit narcissistic, because now, staring at the half naked form of his own body, Xavier felt neither shame nor reluctance while he satisfied his curiosity. Cobalt gaze traveled over slick skin and dark hair with unabashed intrigue.

Waving his double off, Charles smiled and walked to the bed, the towel slipping slightly as he does. "No need to apologize, this room is as much mine as it is your's." Though his voice wavered slightly, clearly not used to being so scrutinized by anyone. Feeling a blush creep up to the tips of his ears, Charles clears his throat, turning the gaze of those baby blues towards his twin, before chuckling.

Placing one hand on his hip, he posed ever so slightly, "Like what you see?" he teased the other, watching his other self raking his eyes over Charles' body. Silently, he thanked God for small miracles such as the need to wrap a towel around his waist, otherwise his pasty bum would've sashayed out of the bathroom quite nude.

Xavier had to snap himself out of it. Force his eyes up to their twins as he swallowed faintly, a slow bob of his Adam's apple in his throat. He was being foolish, staring like that. It was nothing he had not seen before, in their mirror. It was just so much crisper and defined an image like this. He cleared his throat, smile a bit awkward but still present. Then it shifted at the comment, turning sly and faintly coy at the familiar flirtatious nature of his younger self.

"As a matter of fact, I do." He chuckled softly, raising one brow and making his way to sit on the edge of his- their bed. One leg crossed casually over the other as he settled his hands into the mattress. "We have always been rather easy on the eyes, I believe. I know you have heard it in as many minds as I have."
