"Come in." Standing up and stretching his back to work loose some of the kinks in his back. He did not exactly wish to face Charles, either, but he was a more welcome presence. Xavier felt... at ease around him. Maybe that was normal. He had always been pretty comfortable with himself

"I've failed to bring glasses, but I figured you wouldn't mind." There's that silly grin again as Charles sashayed to a chair and flopped onto it, his grace apparently swiftly going out the window when gravity becomes too involved.

"Gods, yes." His defensive posture dropped as Charles approached without the questioning mental touch. It was easy to see Charles had already been at the whiskey, but Xavier didn't mind, moving over towards the chair to join him.
"I thought you would be playing chess with Erik by now."
