I love that I have a boyfriend crazy enough to consider going to this. It's so awesome that they're doing that! Wonder if I could convince him to bring me too? ;) I've been saving up to go visit my best friend in Scotland, and my aunt and uncle in Ireland anyways (although I was planning for the spring...). Maybe I'll be able to do a whirlwind

I love knitting. It is so relaxing. Ponchos are a great way to start off too -- it's just a rectangle.

There is a show in DIY network called Knitty Gritty. They also have a website. They have several easy patterns to start you off with. You should google it.

I love the poncho patterns, and I think greeny/brown/gold will be lovely.

Autumn is my favorite season too, and for the same reasons as you: birthday and Halloween. Libras rule! And I avoid the trap you speak of by only buying one for me and one for her, LOL.

Mr. Stellans would give his eyeteeth to see the LZ concert; not I. I've never been a fan, and the only thing I like is about them is this. And that's only because I am an ailurophile!
