Ah yes, George Miller. My research in grad school was based on his work, modeling the chunking behavior of short term memory. btw, I also gave a talk on it at work, as part of the interview process. Damned fine idea. Have you read the paper? it's quite interesting, especially in the way that he uses information theory to hypothesize about the efficiency of memory, and chunking phenomena.

When John the Ripper searches the space of passwords, it prioritizes different passwords in various ways. One of them is that 7 is more common than any other digit. Weird.
