Recently I bought Perfect Dark and so far it has been pretty fun. I never played it on the N64 when it first came out, so decided to give it a try on the xbox. PD really is my first foray into first-person shooters and I like it... but am kinda unsure why so many people like shoot'em ups. (I downloaded the demo of Bioshock and was terrified. That

I've heard real good things about Mass Effect and I was looking into getting it one day in the future. But in the present I took some lovely advice and bought Dragon Age: Origins :D
HOLY CRAP IS THIS GAME MADE OF ABSOLUTE BRILLIANCE.
I love that you can pick what to say and Alistair and Morrigan are made of pure awesome (their interactions are so cute and witty), and I love asking Sten questions. His aloof attitude makes me laugh. Unfortunately I started playing as a guy before I realized how awesome Alistair is and now I can't woo him :( Good thing I have more than one save file!
Thanks for the luck! Now, I just need to not play DA 24/7 X3.

I am so, so pleased that you're enjoying Dragon Age: Origins! Oh, man, I love it so much! Oblivion is great too, but I just didn't get so involved! Dragon Age actually gave me sleepless nights. I adore the characters, especially Alistair and Morrigan! Sten and I did not see eye to eye much of the time. Haha!
Haha, I always create an awful Mary Sue of myself wherever possible in RPG games, with my face and my name...and I try to make the decisions I would make/say the things I would say in real life. So much fun!
If you like the moral choice/speech option mechanics in DA:O then you'll definitely like Mass Effect too, it's pretty much DA:O's sci fi sister, with them both being by Bioware! :D

I'm playing as a Human Noble right now and I want to make a female mage elf, but I heard if you go elf, you can't marry Alistair (or rather have a happy life with him in the epilogue). Is that true? Do I need to go the Human Mage route?
Arrggh. Too many good games to buy! Not enough time and money. I have too many games already (I am like the slowest person to get through a game. I get so sidetracked by shiny things). I'll have to wait until I finish DA to pick Mass Effect up, woe.
