Oh! It's just a service organization. It's by the Kiwanis society though. http://www.kiwanis.org/ Or organization, whatever. Yeah, it's like Z-Club, too. Z-Club is a service club from the Zonta administration. Basically, these clubs are service clubs that are like the high schooler form of what it really means today. They're pretty big things actually...
also, I am going insane, I totally missed the rest of the entry, maybe, I am sorry. D: D:
DO NOT walk on your ankle if you twisted it. Trust me, I learned the hard way by pushing myself too much. >>; My ankle STILL hurts if I sit on it funny or something.
And I'm really sorry about your aunt, love. I'm here for hugs if you need 'em.
Nah, you don't have to go to all of the meetings. Just go to the service things if you can. If you can't, then don't worry. And google talk just got updated, go open up the program and update it. They have new features, and it's cool!! You can do this whole listening to what kind of music at the moment stuff and do file transfers and other things.
There will be a meeting next Wednesday where you can sign up. If you can't sign up then though, you can stop by Lerchie's room and fill a form out. You also have to pay $25 though, keep that in mind. And well, I will inform you of any service things that we will be offering so you can do it. To stay in Key Club, you're gonna need 15 total service hours, 10 that you have to find yourself (or do the not required volunteer service stuff we'll offer) and 5 hours of required service PER SEMESTER. That's all! And the 5 hours of required service may not even be actual hours.. I might make you like make a card or something for the kids at Shriners, and each card might count for one hour or something. Do you get what I mean?
I want to join Key Club! I think I want to join Latin Club too, though, and that would make 5 clubs (with NHS, Z-Club and French club). So I dunno. I'm already in two service organizations. Does Key Club do that Pro Bono thing where the only service hours that count are the ones that they specifically offer? And what's the rule about hours gotten during the summer? How many hours per semester? Blah blah blah. I don't really know anything about Key Club, but it sounds really cool.
Nah, Key Club doesn't do the whole Pro Bono thing. And you can get up to 4 hours during the summer I believe, we haven't decided yet. We'll decide tomorrow. We're gonna do like 10 hours per semester I believe and either 1 or 2 mandatory Key Club projects. If you can't make it to the Key Club thing, then you can substitute in for service hours. That's all!
Uh, paying $25 and pretending to do around 15 hours of volunteer service? Some of these hours, you might not have to even work the full hours. We might just ask you to make a card or something that will attribute to one hour. Is that okay?
I'm sorry Renee. If there's anything I can do to make the darker notes any less darker...let me know?
Just take care of yourself. Hopefully your ankle will be better soon.
I shall consider Key Club. Is it required to go to every meeting though? Because I'm already going to be splitting my time between JCC and the Drama Club...
Nah, it's not required to go to every meeting. If you just pay your dues and turn in your appropiate hours, then you'll stay in, that's all. Consider it for me, please :)
