Same here, why should You reward incompetency? If it was me at work I would have been fired on the spot, no bailout.

It's not rewarding incompetency. It's saving the economy from a complete crash to avoid a depression, which now could be very real, and very scary.

What will happen, will happen. YOu are in the same boat as the rest of us and no more in control of it than we are. So it is pointless to be scared. Instead, look ahead and see what is likely to occur and plan to weather it accordingly.

In boating terms, during a storm, you simply fold the sails and wait for better weather to return.

This was a no-win situation. The bailout proposed by the administration would not have fixed anything. It's like dumping asphalt into the Grand Canyon to fill up the hole. Only you and I would be paying for the asphalt.

This economic mess has been on the build ever since the Reagan administration started eliminating regulations and safeguards. You don't stop a slide of that magnitude overnight. I think we'd all better tighten our belts now, because nothing is going to prevent a major recession or depression. It has been inevitable for a while, even though the administration kept pretending otherwise.
