I dunno, this is an e-mail to your friend, not some random dude. I think judges will look for personality and ideas. The ideas are good, but it falls a little flat, like you're repeating words or reading them from somewhere...

a) this is the way I write advice emails, most of the time. short, to the point, and offering a little encouragement.
b) not a random dude. dtrangely, I was almost writing to myself when I got this prompt. FSU rejected because of the test scores... but FSU accepted on the basis of the whole person spectrum.
c) with 100 words to say everything that needed to be said, I tink I did pretty damn good ;-)

I am curious, though, what you would have written?
