I had a free period between two classes today, so I went to the coffee shop to study. Normally I use the library, but I was hungry as well and rather cold, so I thought I'd get some tea and a quick bite. I can study my school books anywhere.

I find that if I can get to Live Journal either before 3:00 in the afternoon, or after 12:00 at night, I can post and comment a lot easier. I really should break down and buy a paid account. We've been having this winter wonderland day today, and so far, it's been very interesting. The first order of business seemed to be to build a sledding trail and make sure we compacted the snow almost into ice before taking peices of wood and sliding down. The wooden sleds Bardock built can go amazingly fast on this sheet of ice. Makes me glad ( Read more... )

I was teamed up against Vegeto this morning at training. I wasn't sure how well it would work out, because we haven't seen him in awhile, but my fears were ungrounded. He's been keeping up with his fighting. And, seeing that I hadn't fought with him for awhile, I had to reaquaint myself with his style, which is always nice for a change.

I really think that Thor knows Kev and I are his surrogate parents, even though we left him for a week, because he's settled back into things rather nicely. Clearly Sonya worked a bit on training him, because he does try to let us know if he has to go outside and take care of business. We got home at a relatively decent hour last night. That ship, has a lot of good things going for it, when you think about it. When it's not needed, she's not needed, she can become a very small, easily portable animal, and when she's needed to be a ship, she is a very good ship, very fast. Living sheets and blankets is something that might weird me out a bit, but you know, I can see it. If you can get over the fact that these are creatures, not inanimate objects, and realize that in this culture, folks must be very used to them, then you have to admire them.

I do wear sneakers quite a bit when I'm home, but I'm suddenly glad that I decided to wear boots for this trip. I'm sure you've all been hearing how we swapped footware for a space ship and money.
