Fic TBBT: Blind chapter 6
Penny was desperately bored. Everybody was dancing but her, sitting alone on a chair. She glanced at Missy who was dancing with a man smaller than her. A lot more smaller actually.
"Do you want to dance?" Sheldon suddenly asked, gazing intensely at her, a look of concern in his face.
"I thought you didn't dance" Penny frowned, curious.
"I'll dance for you, I owe you something"
Penny smiled and nodded. The tall physicist was facing her and she felt herself shiver. He held his hand toward her and she grabbed it with pleasure. He helped her getting up. She always knew Sheldon Cooper was a gentleman. He even cracked a smile. God, was he adorable today!
"Thank you Sheldon"
She hadn't wanted to sound so turned-on but he didn't notice. He was still Sheldon after all. They joined the crowd of people dancing in circles and Penny thought for a moment that it was the weirdest thing that ever happened to her. Being here with Sheldon, in his family, feeling as if she was already welcolmed. It felt nice too. She looked up at him and smiled into his blue eyes. Sheldon awkwardly put an hand around her waist. Following his line of thought, Penny wrapped her arms around his neck. She knew he was embarassed but he didn't move. Instead he put his other hand on her shoulder. So he could dance, thought Penny with a grin. He just didn't want to. She leaned closer to him as if it was possible, and rested her head on his chest. She heard his heart skip a beat but he said nothing. Then the world started to spin around and Penny had to close her eyes to breath normally. She opened them, searching his and was surprised to notice that he was staring at her with a quizzical look.
"Penny, what are you doing?" he asked soflty, giving shivers to her entire body. She just grinned at him and continued to dance. The music grew slower and slower and Penny couldn't help a moan from her throat. Which panicked Sheldon even more.
"Are you okay?" He was looking right into her eyes, trying to read her.
"More than ever" she replied, her smile growing wider as he cupped her face into his hands.
"Penny, you're crying"
Penny chuckled, feeling the tears on her cheeks. How come was she crying now?
"Those are tears of joy"
Sheldon raised his brows in a very humorous way. Penny giggled.
"I'm sorry Penny, I didn't know that joy could be a factor for tears"
"Sarcasm?" she asked, hoping he would...laugh. In a regular, not Sheldon-way.
He grinned and whispered 'Bazinga' in her ear. She had to sit down because her legs couldn't work anymore. But she tried to hide the feelings she was experiencing right now. Lucky for her, Sheldon was oblivious when it came to things like that.
"You kids have fun?" asked Mary Cooper out of the blue, making Penny jump. Sheldon grabbed her by the waist to keep her from falling.
"Yes mom, thank you"
"I'm proud of you Shelly"
She gave him a soft kiss on his cheek and joined a man she didn't know for a dance. Penny was aware that Sheldon was still holding her but she couldn't lie: she liked it. Unfortunately, as if he was reading in her mind, he let go of her but didn't leave the ballroom.
"We're not finished yet" he said genuinely and Penny wrapped her arms around his neck one more time.
"I'm happy to be here" she said in a really low voice.
"Thanks for being here Penny"
And with that he managed to put a soft kiss on her forehead. Penny thought that it was the sexiest thing a man ever did to her, especially from the Beautiful Mind of Sheldon Cooper. But then something weird happened. Penny looked deep into his eyes and pulled him closer to her. He was shivering. She smiled and kissed him full on the mouth. She knew he was trying to protest -he was groaning in her mouth- but she was a big ol' five after all. Then he slipped his tongue in her mouth, surprising her once more. Who knew that Sheldon Cooper was one hell of a kisser? Certainly not her but she couldn't care less. The world has stopped.
