Yet another update....

So... today was the day Chris talked to the recruiting office again. We had a nice, comprehensive list of questions prepared to ask them, but in the end didn't get many answers. The trouble was the guy Chris spoke to was new -- had to keep putting him on hold to find out answers -- and he told us confusing information. Like, for example, that

well here is the kicker, they can expect one to live with out ther spouse for the duration of Basic and SQ, it is not till the end of those course that you will be able to live with chris again. and yes he will be getting about 600 a month, unless you do manage to get "living-in" pay then you will get a bit more, about 400, so about 900 or 1000 a check. but it can be a pain in the ass to get it. you will be able to get a PMQ when you get here to Kingston, that is most likley case. Sinse they do alot if not most of the training for Communications here. i hope that might help abit.

Thanks for the clarification Bud!! We were thinking the money thing couldn't be right, nor could they really expect him to be away from me for that long. (He was ready to turn it down if that were really the case.) I'll still get Chris to email you for more details, thoough, if you don't mind. And what's a PMQ?

ooh! ooh! I know this one! (well, I don't know what it STANDS for, but whatever). Those are the on-base apartments for soldiers-and-family! You know the abandoned shoebox-looking buildings on the Dartmouth side of the bridge that people keep saying should be made into housing for the homeless? I'm pretty sure they used to be PMQs.

why yes you would be right in that one girl. if you have a family you can get a PMQ, and that is "personal military Quarters".

yea get chris to send me questions, i have delt with a lot of stuff, and not jstu for me for ppl here when i when i was a Course Senoir. so i do have a idea, of what is up, and dont really trust the recruiting office ppl , they have been known to be fullof shit.
