Awwwww That ring is way perfect, Kerry :) I'm very happy for you. And I'm also totally up for dinner and doing things. Are you getting anything inscribed on the rings, btw?
As for quitting your job, good call. I think you made the right decision, but I thought you should quit when I saw you at Stay. And THAT was long enough ago that the movie isn't playing anymore.
I'm thinking of learning to drive as well. I'm thinking that that would be a good thing to ask my parents for for Christmas (Driver's Ed.)
On the other hand, if I get this job, I start December 5th, and then I don't know when I would be able to do the class. >.>
I was planning on having our rings engraved way back when, but I'll have to look into cost. If I do, they will say "Mo Anam Cara", which is Gaelic for "my soul mate". But we'll see. The important part is having them. :)
The ring is gorgeous, Kerry. Quitting your job totally sounds like the right thing to do. I'm ahppy for you :) I am also attempting to learn to drive by spring. I should probably just have replied to Krista's post and said "ditto".
Thanks, Amy!! I soooo love that ring. I can't wait till they come in! Yeah, leaving work still makes me feel guilty somewhat, but I also feel relieved. Now that my notice is in, the hard part is that I still have so much time left. I'd like to be done with it NOW. Oh, well.
my very first job sounds alot like the one you are at now, it was insanely frustrating, they only had enough staff to keep the place open, if someone called in sick they would have to ask the one person who had the day off that day to work for them, it was insane....so i deffinatly think that quitting your job is the right thing, sounds like it will be good for you ^_^ and the ring is very beautiful, i love the idea of getting it engraved in Gaelic...oh and i'm NOT attempting or thinging about learing to drive :P
Yeah, short staff problems are constant around that place. Technically, I could have let her programs slide while she was off all that time, but I felt bad for the residents missing stuff so I took on the extra work. What are ya gonna do? Oh, yeah -- QUIT! Ha!
Anyway, glad you like the ring -- of course you would, you actually lived in the UK!! I think you're really going to like the wedding ceremony, too -- lots of Celtic and Pagan elements. It's so personal and meaningful, too. I can't wait!
