Cool. Sounds like you got further than I did. Back when I was barely an adult, I tried out when they came to Cleveland. I didn't get past the test part! Just as well. I'm rather camera shy. :)

A few other people said the same thing---that a while ago they used to very visibly exclude people after one stage. I think they've changed their S.O.P. so that even if they don't want you you'd never know it.
