Day 17: Favourite Mini Series.

... I honestly cannot for the life of me remember any mini series I've watched, ever. I know I have, I just am having a total mindblank... I may be wrong but I don't think there are many miniseries on British TV. They're usually just Austen/Bronte remakes. So I'll put one of them. If they count?  It's not like anyone can stop me if they don't ...

So.. day 17 will be Emma, that's the last Austen I saw. I'll use my Emma icon, so I don't have to trawl through pictures. Because I need to shower in a minute, we're going out for a father's day meal.

Day 18: Favourite Title Sequence

Well, I have two favourites.
The first one.. well, it may not be a favourite, but it's the one that's stuck with me the most, and it is so iconic;
Doctor Who. There is no messing around with this title sequence. I am undecided as to whether I prefer RTD's or Moffat's version more, I like them both. My favourite episode's one however (and I can't find the official version on youtube, just some fanmade ones) is the Journey's End one, because I am far too amused by them racing through like, 8 different names, even though most of them counted more as guest appearances and wouldn't have made it onto the title sequence had it been a normal episode. Ah well.

I also rather like the Ashes to Ashes S1 one, just because of this guy. (sorry for the bad quality, I had to screenshot it off youtube)

It cheers me up everytime I see it, I mean, who wouldn't get a good peak at Alex's arse, really?
And finalement;

Day 19: Best TV Show Cast
Well...
Um. Okay; Doctor Who can't really come under this category, they've had some really, really bad characters and one companion who I disliked rather a lot. Glee has a pretty good cast, I'd say, but... I don't know, it doesn't feel right putting them here. Ashes and LOM have excellent casts, but they're pretty small. The same applies for Not Going Out.

The one show which really jumped to mind for this day has, in my opinion, an excellent cast... for the first two series. They work really well with some shabby scripts, and the chemistry between all of them is pretty awesome...

I know I've used this picture before, but it's the only publicity shot in circulation with most of the cast on, there is only really one character missing from it. I was going to go on to slate the casting of Joanne Froggatt as Kate, but there really wasn't much wrong with her an actress, she was great in LOM, she just happened to have an atrociously written character. And in S3 of course, Toby Stephens was cast as PJ, which was a stroke of genius, so the more I think about it... Robin Hood really did have one of the best casts I've ever seen.
I'm quite happy with that one actually :)

(I was going to say Friends, because they really did have an amazing cast, but it became so big budget that, that was to be expected. Comparitive of size and stuff, they probably really didn't have much on Robin Hood.)
