You might need a Firewire (also known as i.Link or IEEE 1394) connection. I don't know about your camera, but in my experience (which is mainly with digital VIDEO cameras) stills can be transferred via USB connection but video is transferred via Firewire connection. As Firewire is native to Mac, you should have a port on your computer, but if your camera didn't come w/ a Firewire cord, you'll have to buy one.
I've had similar problems with my Kodak camera and Mac computer. It's a program issue, not a hardware issue. I installed Kodak's program onto my computer. It may be possible for you to download the movies using imovie instead of ipicture. I would try that first and then install the camera program if it doesn't work.
Tried the movie option, but didn't work. Don't have actual software for the actual camera, and was hoping not to have to buy it specifically for a camera that will soon be outdated. But might be the only option when it comes down to it.
