sadly he doesn't have anything too deep or exciting about her yet. Mostly just that she seems like a very nice young lady and a good singer, even if her dancing moves are a little...indecent. I don't think they've really talked long enough for him to seriously pay attention to how...uh...out there she is yet. Which obv. means I'll just have to jump you some more!

Wendy is pretty cool! She's easy to talk to, she hasn't given him a hard time about anything, and she's been understanding about the whole time period problem and hasn't made him feel like a total idiot about it. He would definitely be down with talking to her some more. Especially if she were to actually show him what the hell a movie is.

Except he's kind of conflicted, because on one hand he really wants to punch Zhao in the face, but on the other hand, he does realize that Zhao is actually trying, which means he should maybe cut him some slack and accept that Zhao is naturally annoying, except that doesn't really help much and he still wants to punch him in the face.

so I think he settles for just trying not to be in the same room as Zhao whenever humanly possible, although given current living arrangements (since I assume Yuanji brought Zhao back with her?), lol.

HE LIKES YOU, HAWKE. It feels a little like a cop-out to compare to canon relationships (especially ones that I'm pretty much required to headcanon up because canon shafted them so hard) but -- I kind of think she reminds him of Ma Dai, because she's got that same kind of laidback jokingness but she's still able to drop it and be serious when it's called for. So when there's absolutely nothing and nobody of Shu here, having someone who reminds him of the bros back home is very welcome.

...until she starts talking about finding him a relationship and then he's just like FDSLJKFDS.

(And now I'm trying to imagine Ma Dai as Jiang Wei's wingman and it's a little terrifying, but I digress.)

Basically while some of what she says he does find pretty frustrating, he does quite like her overall and despite the parts he goes :| at, talking to her has been one of the high points of his stay in camp so far. Because he needs a frieeeeeeeeend.

He, uh, likes Yuanji about as much as he can actually manage to like anyone from Wei boyfriends excluded because they get points for leaving it. She's been the most reasonable of anyone in the cast about this entire mess, and she's infinitely easier to get along with than her husband, so if he's going to have to deal with one of them, he'd rather it was Yuanji forever and ever amen.

...although I imagine after every conversation they have, he has a brief moment of "waaaah I miss Xing Cai." WHY DOES WEI GET THEIR SRSFACE, SENSIBLE, TOPPY IMPERIAL WIFE HERE AND SHU DOESN'T. LIFE IS SO NOT FAIR.
