Always nice to see a bit of fuzz on horses, though. When I visited the local pretend-tarpans recently (I think they're actually Heck horses), I noticed that they had fairly thick fur; not as long as the Icelanders (horses, not humans) I also sometimes meet, but still substantial. I do like that in horses. (There's also Exmoor ponies in the same area, and you can even go onto their pasture. It's interesting meeting them up close, but having the whole herd coming galloping right at you can be a bit startling as well!)
