Hi there, thanks for taking the time to visit! This entry is an introduction both to my journal itself and to the little world that makes up my daily life.

Unfortunately, I have had to go friends-only due to some work-related circumstances, but I've left a few posts public so you can see what the usual fare here is.

Things you should know about ( Read more... )

You seems like an interesting person. Hey, I'm hyper one minute and sadistic the next so I'm positive we'll get along fine! Add me? I'm always looking for a new LJ friend XD.

Whoa, neat! You're from Illinois and you're a geology nut!!!

I'm a junior at Western Illinois University chasing after volcanology :) I don't know you by chance, do I? Wow, I would so laugh.

Ooooh, a fellow Illinois Geologist, awesome! Would you mind if I added you to my friends list? :D

That would be so cool if I did know you! Unfortunately, though, I'm on the other side of the state attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Our geology program isn't as diverse and interesting as Western's, which bites. Can you believe that at a university with 100,000 students, they don't even offer a volcanology course of any sort?! Travesty!

Yea that's fine, as long as I can add you back! :)

I have a friend attending U of I for musicology (crazy trumpet people!). I wish our school offered a volcanology course or at least a natural hazards class. We have the hazards class, but it's only offered in the Quad Cities. It's pretty much the normal courses for undergrads here, like right now I'm in mineralogy, field methods and seds but I've taken paleo, the basic stuff, and structure. We have a geomorphology, hydro, and engineering class so I suppose that's kinda nice :)

I always entertain my seds teacher by asking how the material applies to volcanoes. Hehe. It's fun! *grin*

an offer.... 9mm October 22 2004, 16:18:31 UTC
Hello. I think Ive commented on you before or perhaps on a comment of yours in someone elses journal. I know we both know CFA.

Anyway, to the root of the matter. I run 7shots. Its a photography community that operates off 7 memebers at one time. Each person is assigned one day. On that day they post one picture.
woodrunner is a member there but she is busy in the non digital world at the moment and she recommended that you are quite skilled with the glass and little magic box.
Would you like to take her place as the Sunday person?

I would be VERY honored to be your Sunday person, if you haven't already found somebody else. This has come at just the right time, too, as I've been trying to find some new way of presenting my photos. Thank you so much!

I just felt a need to make my presence known here. Sorry, just passing through to mark my little piece of your LJ. I don't see any hydrants, though. :(
