Resource post, lulz.

Gonna put links and YouTube videos on here. Writing the fill for falques' prompt: Decadence for Robert/Saito has had me scouring the internets for clues into the decadent life. I mean, I even Googled the long since defunct show The Genuine Article with Gordon Elliot. (And found a couple of vids, hee.) So. I put them on here, so I don't keep on losing them ( Read more... )

Thank god my founding fathers were all about the capitalist luxuries and white male privilege. Expensive suits and cars smell like Freedom~~~

Strangely enough, one of my professors was showing us pictures of Rizal Park earlier.

lol...

Hello, the Philippines, look at your nation, now back to my nation, now back at your nation, now back to my nation. Sadly, it isn’t my nation, but if it stopped embracing socialist ideologies and switched to free market capitalism, it could smell like its America. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a business meeting with the nation your nation could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an eagle bringing us ice cold Cokes and something deep fried and delicious. Look again, the deep fried food is now a stack of Benjamins. Anything is possible when your nation smells like America and not a more socially conscious nation. I’m in a Hummer.”

He didn't show any close ups of Rizal's statue, but now that I Google it, that is one FOINE LOOKIN' STATUE.

With watches I consulted a friend who flies a lot/is a businessman. Oh course, I did this not for my own fic but for a beta I did. It makes me happy that he wasn't messing with me when he said that Breitling is a good brand for people who fly a lot, blah blah blah money blah.

I mean, when he said that I checked their site and it looked kind of douchey. Or maybe I'm just a fan of simple and streamlined aesthetic, idk. It was all so yellow and pretentious and had hilarious background music that I kept on for the lulz.

Or ski destinations in Japan.

Sapporo, Hokkaido. Particularly, Niseko, or Rusutsu.

Or Myoko Kogenin or Nozawa Onsen in winter, where people ride up to the middle of the mountain to bathe in hot springs and cook eggs in the water. :3
