i'm taking comp right now. it's pretty boring classwise and such. we've only read a few books- stuff you can analyze the language of. take comp if you want to dissect language and write a lot. take lit if you want to read lots of good books and analyze them. and no if you get ms ledwidge for comp your grade won't suffer if you're not the strongest writer. she's a lenient grader.
if you have no clear favorite, try to see who will be teaching next year. i have friends in AP comp who hate it because of the bad teachers who got the class. they probably don't know but have an idea of who will be teaching in the fall, so ask around the english department and go with the better teacher. a teacher can definitely make or break a class.
im in ap comp, and i took it because i like comp better. but honestly, they're both pretty easy classes. well, mrs. bucan just took over one of them because todd retired but i have ledwidge and it's my easiest class so far. i think lit is the same way. in comp you do less poetry, but you still read books.
oh, and im not in ap enviro but i has ms. fisher last year for ap us and since shes in charge of all the college stuff she warned us against taking ap enviro or ap psych. colleges look upon both of them as bs classes but they're apparently a lot of work. my friend in ap enviro says its really shitty.
