in all honesty, applying to college is such a crapshoot process. no one knows why some people get in and some people don't. but college is an AMAZING experience. i sent in a half-assed application to my school because Dr. Maskin said, "hey. why don't you apply here? i think you'd like it." i got in and went after being rejected from my top school, and it was just by chance that i ended up loving it here. i don't think i would have been happy anywhere else, but i think that's more a result of what i learned once i got to college than a result of where i ended up going to school. really, where you go is what you make of it.
