Does anyone remember a teen suspense book in the late 80s or early 90s about a SAT prep course retreat in the woods? There was a boathouse / lake element to it as well if I remember correctly.

This will help me immensely with an obscure present for one of my colleagues.

Hmm... I was an RL Stine / Christopher Pike kid m'self, not ringing any bells so far!

Well, there was the Grounding of Group Six, where 6 kids get sent to private school, and the semester starts off with a camping trip in the woods. These six kids in particular are sent out in a group that is not supposed to make it back to campus as their parents want them killed for various reasons. So the book is about the bunch of them surviving in the woods near campus.
