Colin arrived at the address Melanie had given him and stood there for a few seconds. He was nervous. He stealed up the courage and walked in, wondering what the hell he was going to face.
Much to Melanie's surprise it was a quiet morning, but not all the little monsters had arrived yet. She was laying out some breakfast for the ones that were there to eat and looked up to see who came in. There was a small smile on her face and one of the kids got up to run towards him but Melanie quickly stepped in front of the kid.
"I don't think so. Park it and finish eating your food."
"Good to see you here," she directed the child back to the chair he was sitting at and turned back to Colin.
"No, this isn't everyone. A few more need to show up and then we'll be all set!" Overly cheerful woman gives a big grin but it fades. Hard to get over the happy demeanor that she puts on for the children when she's around adults.
"Got some basic paperwork you need to fill out. Boring, I know but I don't want to get in trouble with the law."

"Do you do this all my yourself?" He noticed the kid looking at him out of the corner of his eye but ignored him. He'd be introduced later - he hoped.
