Let's Talk Trash

Forget the cover, forget the blurbs, forget all that author promo--have you ever read a horrible review, and think--I have GOT to read THAT book? I must admit that any book that is hauled out in the public forum by a reviewer and called "Trash" is pretty much an auto-buy for me.

Though GO ASK ALICE wasn't trash! I loved that book.

I know-- I mean she reviews Wizner's bio!! That's like criticizing an author's acknowledgments (which I've seen as well).

And you're right, of course, Go Ask Alice was never really hailed as "trash" --but it did have a certain taboo factor for my age group at the time I read it.

Swoon looks amazing. It wasn't stocked during my last bookshop trip, but it's at the top of my buy list.
