i have a quick question, what is the speech screening interview? is it mandatory and when do we have to take it?

It is mandatory. I took it my last semester, but I think you're supposed to take it earlier. It's not a big deal if you don't, unless you fail. Everybody in my group passed--it's really easy. All you have to do is read part of a passage about rainbows out loud.
