He is adorable. Look at that face. Teething is not fun. Nursing a teething baby is even less fun. She needs to take him off the breast when he bites and make it clear that it is not okay to do that.
Kate's pretty good about the no-tolerance policy for biting. But when he's off, as he has been lately, it means he'll often bite when actually hungry--and then she removes him from the breast, turns him to the other side, he bites, and then he gets put down--but he actually wanted to eat, but was just too addled to manage it. We actually broke out a bottle the other night because the cycle had repeated a few too many times.
If he weren't cute we'd have all lost our minds by now.

I wrote a silly-song for my son that I sang when things got rocky, which they were pretty constantly from about 0-5 months due to colic. It's called "It's a Good Thing You're Cute."
It's terrible, since we introduced applesauce he won't eat anything that doesn't have applesauce (or peaches, he was really into peaches) in it. So, apples and lentils, apples and blueberries, apples and sweet potatoes...
Really. I'm pretty sure when I was little I used to put applesauce on lots of stuff. I'm almost positive I used it to gag down peas (I am not a fan). Applesauce and sweet potatoes sounds like a good idea. I'll have to try that tomorrow (I have sweet potatoes and pork leftover). :) Apples and lentils sounds awful, by the way. :)
And now that I think about it, I was all about the apple juice when I was little, perhaps not the applesauce. Oh, whatever. I liked apple-based things, apparently. :)
Apples and lentils are better than you would think. Red split lentils. I'm planning on trying it out in a grownup soup come the fall. (But I also like apples in my stuffing--something out fried onions and celery and apples together really, really works.)
Apples and hummus, on the other hand, was just as bad as it sounds to my grown-up tongue. The baby? OMNOMNOM.

Glad to hear he's progressing normally. :) Or like me. Which technically wouldn't be considered normal. Hmm. Take that however you wish. :)
