put your camera into auto-shoot, and focus to auto-focus(there will be a small switch on the side of the lens - try that first. ) change your lens and see if the issue occurs with other lenses too.
Its more likely the Manual/Auto switch. Also possible that the lens got slights 'unseated.' Remove and re-attach. See if there is any laxity at the joint. Do you see any dings at the interface?
and as manu suggested, switch lenses.
btw, what lens was it? Many of the lens which come with the camera outfit have 'plastic' casings and prone to such drift :-(
I think i know whats happened...the fall damaged the built in speedlight hood...and its got a crack, i just noticed tonight. As a result of this, even though the flash is required, the speedlight does not pop up...so the images are blurred.
one solution to this is to manually open the flash each time- but it'll over expose some photos where flash not reqd and also, it doesnt solve the problem of the flash popping out whenever required :(
is it possible to solve this problem by: (a) seeing if a new cover for a speedlight is available; (b) attaching an external speedlight - but it just makes it all so bulky ...sigh!
cameras shd never be dropped...whether u can help it, or not.
